These terms cover the use of troopsift.com. Opening a page means you are content to read it on this basis.
What this site is
TroopSift publishes editorial notes about free games available in Google Play. Everything you read here is the opinion of the people at the desk after installing and playing the title. Nothing on this site is a download, a store or an offer: the games themselves live in Google Play and are installed from there.
No advertising and no placements
We show no advertising, sell no placements and take no commission from the Google Play links. Nobody can buy a position in the catalogue or a kinder note. Running costs are carried by the three people who keep the desk going, which is exactly why the catalogue stays short.
No affiliation
TroopSift is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC or by any of the developers named on the site. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Game titles, icons and screenshots belong to their respective rights holders and appear here for identification and comment.
Accuracy
Store listings change: a title can leave the Irish store, a rating moves as reviews arrive, an update can rework a game completely. Figures on the site carry the date on which they were read. Always check the current store page before installing anything, including the age rating shown there.
Our material
The wording, structure and design of the site belong to TroopSift. Quoting a passage with a link back is welcome. Copying pages wholesale, or republishing the notes as someone else's work, is not.
Links away from the site
We link to Google Play and, occasionally, to a developer page. Those services are outside our control and we are not responsible for what they contain or for how they behave.
Limits
The site is provided as it is. We take reasonable care but do not warrant that every line is free of error or that a game will suit you. To the extent Irish law permits, we accept no liability for loss arising from relying on an editorial note. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2022; the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is the Irish authority for those rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
